Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first production she acted in for her first stage appearance. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in several Broadway shows before gaining her way to national prominence with Li'l Abner's performance in the year 1957. In the same calendar year she released her first musical album, This is Tina Time. Louise was first introduced to Hollywood in the role of Griselda Walden in God's Small Acre, a drama from 1957. This film became a big hit and Louise even won the Golden Globe Award at the New Star of the Award category. She enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's pupil. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to juggle between Broadway and Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character contrast to her image of a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. As SG-1, and in the role of Helen Magnus in Sanctuary although during the past couple of years she's also earned an impact as an accomplished director on several well-known television series including Supernatural or The 100. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent growing up and in adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision to play the lead.
