Selena Gomez - an international actor and singer - has become a household name. One of the projects she's been a part of that has had the greatest success has been the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place. The full name of Selena Marie Gomez is Selena Marie Gomez. She was born July 22 on 1992 in Grand Prairie Texas. Amanda Cornett, and Ricardo Gomez are her parents. Selena's mother was just 16 when Selena first came to the scene. Her first professional acting job as a showbiz actress at the age of 9 when she played Gianna as Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She became one of those kids who played with the world's most famous human-like dinosaur in the form of a purple. Selena participated in several episodes in season 7 and 8. She worked between 2001-2003. Fun fact: Selena is not the only performer to have appeared on Barney as well as his Friends during this period; Demi Lovato was also part of the team that starred in the series. Selena Gomez had a few auditions for different shows and movies after the end of the show Barney and his Friends. She was not successful. After leaving the series, Selena went on to audition for several roles in other movies and programs, but she was not very successful. The film also gave her the character as Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she wrote a song.
